Dr. Shellie Wallace

Shellie Wallace DVM is a 1984 graduate of Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She completed her Masters of Science at KSU and headed for University of Georgia and completed an residency in Theriogenology (Reproduction). From her residency, she moved to Auburn University where she started the Equine Ambulatory section. Besides general large animal practice she handled the equine breeding work in the area. A course developed by her while at AU was a small animal reproduction elective.

Upon leaving Auburn she headed to Kansas City Mo into a mixed animal practice. She then established a large animal practice where she worked primarily on equine, but also saw cattle sheep, goat, camillids and pigs. In 2004 she left practice and moved to Texas. She worked in several practices before starting Paws and Claws Veterinary Clinic in Sanger, TX.

In 2017 she started A&E Pet Haven. A boarding facility in Sanger, Tx to answer the needs of the area.

Her interests outside of practice are her Grandkids and riding cutting horses.

Roger and Profit “Augur Buzzard”

Roger Wallace is a unique individual with many skills. For 40 years he handled raptors (hawks, eagles, owls and such). He started this phase of his life at Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine where he worked with Dr Jim Carpenter and the Manhattan Zoo in the rehabbing and releasing of injured raptors. Next, he moved to the Heard Natural Science Museum & Wildlife Sanctuary in McKinney Tx, where he spent several years. He then moved on to Saint Louis and the propagation department at the World Bird Sanctuary. Roger spent 17 years at the World Bird Sanctuary. Besides handling the propagation department, he worked with the young birds to get them ready to go out on Educational programs. Roger flew Bald Eagles in the pre game shows for the Saint Louis Cardinals.

In 2017 Roger joined Dr Shellie Wallace in the opening of A&E Pet Haven boarding kennel. Roger runs this kennel with the help of his 20 year old Augur Buzzard (hawk) Profit.
